Selina is from Winnipeg, MB and went to veterinary school at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, SK and graduated in 2012. After graduation she did an equine internship at Moore Equine Veterinary Centre just outside of Calgary, AB. She then moved to Florida to pursue an associate position at Palm Beach Equine Centers in Wellington, FL. Selina worked directly under lameness specialist and surgeon, Dr. Jorge Gomez, and their primary case load was show jumpers and dressage horses. After a winter of working in Florida and experiencing the Winter Equestrian Festival, Selina is ready to return to Canada and is excited to open an equine practice in Southern Alberta. Selina will return to Florida in January-April to work with all the incredible equine athletes that go there for the winter.
Selina is interested in all aspects of equine veterinary practice including ophthamology, medicine, diagnostic imaging, dentistry, lameness and anything else in between.
Walker grew up in Claresholm, AB and is excited to return as an equine veterinarian. He graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, SK in 2012 and following graduation did an equine internship to further his training at Equine Sports Medicine and Surgery in Weatherford, TX . Following his internship Walker moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL to work at Teigland, Franklin and Brokken which is a practice that specializes in equine racetrack athletes. After a year in Florida Walker decided to return to Alberta where he and his wife could start there own equine practice. He is also looking forward to calf roping again and getting back to living in rural Alberta.
